Summer enrichment promotion

The district is offering three summer elementary enrichment opportunities in June. These are free opportunities and transportation is available at group locations, not individual stops, and from Kids Connection. Follow this link to sign up for the free opportunities.

K-5 Summer Literacy Camp

Fun and engaging enrichment literacy program that combines innovative lessons with an interactive summer camp approach.

Reading Corps available for a select group of students during the lit camp time.

Attending the camp will help students develop stronger skills in:

  • Reading

  • Writing

  • Speaking

  • Critical Thinking

Grades 2-4 Robotics Summer Class

Using a robot (DASH), students in grades 2-4 will learn to program the robot to sing, dance, navigate obstacles, and respond to voice commands. Children will learn coding concepts like:

  • Sequencing

  • Events

  • Loops

  • Algorithms

  • Operations

  • Variables through self-directed play

  • Guided challenges

Summer Math Camp

  • June 5-18

  • 8:30-11.:30 a.m.

  • St. Francis Elementary

  • 15-30 students currently (2024-25) in grades K-2
